These include the following EPA Methods: List 1 Monitoring: Method 527: Fire Retardants and Pesticides Method 529: Explosives List 2 Screening Survey: Method 521: Nitrosamines Method 525.2: Acetanilide Pesticide Parent Compounds Method 535: Acetanilide Pesticide Degradation Compounds The EPA’s UCMR2 Regulation requires all public water systems serving more than 10,000 people to monitor a series of unregulated compounds over a 12-month period from January 2008 through December 2010. This regulation is part of the EPA’s response to the Safe Drinking Water Act, which requires the EPA to identify up to 30 contaminants every five years that are not currently regulated.
